The Dutch translation of Christa Wolf's last novel City of Angels / Stadt der Engel was recently published, shortly before her death in December 2011. In the books she reflects on her past and particularly on the fact that she had forgotten her stasi collaboration. I wanted to give this portrait a feel of the past and chose red conte pencil to do so.
